Grief & Death CARE

to hold space for All that is dying

I breathe with you,
sing with you, hold space for the truth of your experience.

In our death-phobic culture, acknowledging death can be deeply unfamiliar & uncomfortable.

We are taught to turn away from death. We are deemed heroic if we defy death. We believe death is a battle to be fought. Indeed, for some, this will be the only way.

For you, I am here to walk on broader pathways to death’s threshold.

These pathways are paved with truth from which a wellspring of love flows. We all die. This is one of life’s clearest truths. And so, I’m softly tapping at that knowing part of you reminding you that there’s another way through. Invite me in and I will breathe with you, sing with you, hold space for the truth of your experience, even the truths you may not wish to speak out loud.

During the pandemic, I felt called to learn from Narinder Bazen, a death midwife based in Atlanta, GA. My original calling: to sing to the dying. I worked my way through Narinder’s comprehensive Nine Key’s Program certifying as a Death Doula in 2021. I wish to help folks walking on the precipice between living & dying that dying can be deeply supported & brimming over with soul connection, even in the most agitated of circumstances.

Let’s see if we’re a good fit.

Grief & Death CAre offerings

Partnership with The Grief House

Since 2023, I have been working in collaboration with Sascha Demerjian of The Grief House. The Grief House, located in Legacy Park in Decatur, GA, invites grievers of all kinds to acknowledge the truths of the grief journey free from shame and demand. We are building a community around grief. We recognize that there are many forms of grief, not just the loss of a loved one.

Grief House programs create opportunities to step into a supported relationship with the grief we inevitably bear. We move with grief. We sing with grief. We weave loss into our lives. And most importantly, you do not need to grieve alone. We are here.

Together, Sascha and I have run a 7 Week Series for Grievers on the 5 Gates of Grief and a 4 Week Series, Beyond the Five Gates: The Harms We've Done. Looking ahead, we are offering a Late Summer Series on the 5 Gates of Grief, and a Summer Grief Ritual. Also look for my recurring offerings: Yoga While Grieving and Circle of Song.

To learn more about my collaboration with The Grief House and the community we are creating there, listen to our interview with Rose Scott from Atlanta NPR station WABE's Closer Look, and visit the Grief House website.
