Discover connection, support, and healing in this special activation, The All Souls’ Post Office, led by Susan Patterson, Shonali Banerjee & The Voices of Love Threshold Choir.
In this meaningful gathering, participants will explore the transformative process of writing a letter to a deceased loved one. Together, we’ll create space for honoring grief, expressing loss, and finding catharsis through writing. Atlanta’s own Voices of Love Threshold Choir will support this process with songs sung to bring comfort & peace.
Time and resources will be provided to begin writing your letters during the workshop, or you may choose to write and “post” it later as the post office will be “in residence” at The Grief House throughout the holidays and into the new year.
The All Souls’ Post Office uses letter-writing as a simple and beautiful way to reconnect with the souls of those who have died. There are no rules about what you write, only that you leave your letter in the post office box. A vintage cabinet, literally & figuratively, holds the evidence of our communal loss, grief and new initiatives as our letters are “posted”.
In the new year, letter’s will be burned in a special ceremony before the Post Office moves to another residency. Should you be interested in hosting the All Souls’ Post Office in your community, contact Susan Patterson directly. goingtherewithsusan@gmail.com
